Having a casino party can be a bit of a gamble, but if you play your cards right, you can hit hit the jackpot and your party will come up aces! From the decorations & tableware to the party treats and cocktails, casino parties are great fun and are also really easy and fun to create. This blog post is here to offer inspiration and ideas for you to borrow and adapt to your own casino party, so the party may be high stakes, but the preparation will be a walk in the park!
You can start showing your creativity in the invitations for the party - after all, how are you supposed to have a casino party without some other players? There's loads of pre-made casino themed invitations available, or you can create your own. You could use a playing card design, a bank note design, a slot machine design and the list goes on! Put some dollar sign confetti or money confetti to take the invitations to the next level (just make sure to tell your invitees that it's fake money - wouldn't want to get their hopes up!)
As you can see above, due to the colours of a deck of playing cards, the three main colours that are a necessity for a casino themed party are red, black & white. These colours can be used as a starting point for finding the right decorations and tableware for your party. There's heaps of different hanging decorations, such as tissue paper pom poms in red, black or white, hanging swirls in these three colours, casino theme specific decorations and, of course, playing cards themselfves can be used as decorations. Whether they be scattered across a table, hanging on strings or attached to a toothpick to stick into party foods, they're a surefire way to convince all of your party guests that they've been magically transported to a casino!
Balloons for the party are also a must - simply match them to the decorations and your party is sure to look a million dollars! Just like the decorations, red, white, or black latex ballooons can be used, as well as casino theme specific balloons.
Again working from the decorations you've chosen, it's easy to pick out tableware. Whether you want casino themed tableware, or plain coloured tableware, tablecovers & napkins, there's a huge range available on our site and it's sure to meet your casino party needs!
Now for the best part of every party - the party treats! Party finger food decorated with playing card toothpicks is sure to be a big hit, as well as some cupcakes decorated with red, black or white icing. Some red, black & white lollies would also work a treat, too! And for that extra touch to really impress your guests, why not decorate your food plates with some dice or playing cards? So easy, so impressive!
Making food in the shape of dice is also a fun idea, whether it be some dice shaped cake pops to include in loot bags:
Or some red dice shaped jelly shots (for adults only, obviously!)
Speaking of, when it comes to a classy casino cocktail, you really can't go past a martini. This "Vesper" cocktail (created by the one and only James Bond, in the novel "Casino Royale") is perfect for a casino themed party and sure to have everyone in the mood for a casino party! (Needs to be shaken, not stirred, of course.)
