Create your own helium balloon displays and decorations with this Disposable Helium Tank 30 Balloon Kit + XtraFloat!

This portable, easy to use helium cylinder kit is perfect for home, the office or anywhere you want to have a party!

The new compact Occasions Helium balloon kit is now available in compliance with the ACCC regulations for safety.

This product contains approx 79% Helium & 21% +/-1% Oxygen for safety purposes.

This kit includes:

• 2.2L Helium/Oxygen Tank
• 30 x 9in balloons in assorted colours
• White ribbon
• 50ml XtraFloat for longer lasting float time!

Inflation Guide:

This tank contains 2.2L of the helium/oxygen mix and will fill approximately 27-30 x 9" / 23cm latex balloons OR 14-16 x 11" / 28cm latex balloons.

ALPEN disposable cylinder packaging refers to 23cm balloons. Shindigs latex balloons are 28cm. If inflating 28cm balloons you will only inflate just over half of what is specified on the box.

Inflation quantities can vary dependent on temperature and whether the balloon have been under or over-inflated. Please note that in cold weather, helium contracts and you may not get as many balloons inflated.

This product is not suitable for inflating foil balloons. Some foil balloons may not float when inflated with helium/oxygen mixture, following the introduction of Consumer Goods (Non-refillable Helium Cylinders) Safety Standard 2022, requiring 21% oxygen content in disposable helium tanks.

For important parties & events (or larger volumes) or to inflate foils, supershapes, bubbles or Orbz, speak to Shindigs staff to hire a helium bottle which contains 100% helium or to arrange in-store inflation with our 100% helium. Hired cylinders are a lot more cost effective on a per balloon basis.

Float time: Latex Balloon float time is approx. 5-7 hours for the 9 inch/23cm balloons or 10-12 hours for 11 inch/28cm balloons. Prolonged float times can be achieved by using the included XtraFloat Float Time Extender.

The XtraFloat is non-toxic, biodegradable and non-flammable and keeps helium-filled balloons floating up to 3 to 10 times longer.

Suitable for latex balloons only - Balloons will not float with too much XtraFloat - Please read included instructions carefully

HELIUM TANK INSTRUCTIONS USE: 

1. Remove the cap from the valve.
2. Attach the included filling nozzle be screwing it onto the valve in a clockwise direction – the top arm of the nozzle will have resistance once fully screwed on.
3. Slide the neck of the balloon over the nozzle tip and hold it on with one hand.
4. With you other hand. Squeeze the top arm of the nozzle to release the gas and inflate the balloon to the recommended size. Do not over-inflate or the balloon may burst
5. Take the inflated balloon off the nozzle and tie onto a ribbon and weight.
6. Repeat with additional balloons.

 PLEASE NOTE:

• Fewer balloons will be achieved if they are over-inflated  
• Balloon fill quantities may vary dependent on the temperature (if tank is stored in cold conditions, helium can contract and not fill as many balloons)
• When using this product, you are encouraged to follow all government regulations regarding the release of helium filled balloons into the atmosphere, and secure your balloons to a ribbon and weight

TANK DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS:

• Carry your empty tank outside and squeeze the nozzle until no more gas is coming out. 
• Using your hand, unscrew and remove the filling nozzle from the tank. 
• Unscrew the gold valve by turning it in an anti-clockwise direction. A spanner may be used if necessary. Doing this will release any gas and residual pressure still in the helium cylinder.
• Once you have followed the steps above, you can take this cylinder to your local council Chemical Clean Out, Community Recycling or disposal site.  Alternatively, dispose of the cylinder with the rest of your garbage in your red lid / general waste bin. 
• Steel is a recyclable product, however, gas cylinders need to be treated prior to recycling.  We encourage the correct disposal of these tanks to avoid them ending up in landfill.  Please do not place these tanks in your household recycling bin. All local councils offer different recycling programs so please check your local council website.
